( ABOUT ULTRAMARINE )

The inspiration for the title of this collection comes from Yoasobi's song “Ultramarine" and the manga "Blue Period." The song depicts a painter who, in the process of creation, discovers their true self and dares to use the color "gunjou" to illustrate their subjective world – "If what you see is blue, whether it's an apple or a rabbit, it can be painted in blue." What resonates with me is the acknowledgment that in the pursuit of what we love, we inevitably face various challenges, endure repeated pain, discomfort, and even fear. These unforgettable experiences ultimately become a part of our lives, painting the canvas of an immensely "real" "blue world."

If you've made it this far, I invite you to listen to the song "Ultramarine."
